HOW YOU CAN HELP

To donate

We rely entirely on grants and goodwill to fund our work. Our running costs are low – many of our team are volunteers – but we remain continually handicapped by insufficient funds to achieve our objectives. Please click here to download a Standing Order form or a Gift Aid form.

  • £15 lets us top up a woman’s mobile phone so that she can contact us and her employer
  • £20 lets us buy a woman one month’s internet access in a cafe
  • £75 lets us buy a woman clothes suitable for an interview and the workplace
  • £145 lets us pay for a one-month Zone 4 Travelcard so a woman can attend a voluntary placement

Alternatively, you can donate on line at any of the following websites:

Work experience placements – paid or voluntary

Could you offer an offender the chance to enter working life and start to build a CV of experience? Every woman prevented from re-offending saves the taxpayer £70,000-£80,000 a year and employment is the single, most effective way to cut recidivism, reducing re-offending by up to one half. We have many testimonials from companies who have found this both a useful and fulfilling experience. We work closely with employers to assist throughout the process, from candidate screening and interview to ongoing liaison with the Prison/Probation Services. Partnering with firms

We are interested in partnering with firms who are keen to strengthen their Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity programmes. Financially, we have a need for larger office premises, salaries for additional staff, sponsoring for training workshops and job fairs, and much more... To discuss becoming a Corporate Donor, please click here. We are also eager to welcome new sponsors and patrons.

Volunteering with us

We rely heavily on the expertise and enthusiasm of our team of volunteers. Could you join us?

Share your knowledge: offer training on CV writing, interview techniques, job applications, debt management, personal grooming, self-esteem building

Profile raising: use your press contacts or journalism skills to deconstruct the media-perpetuated myths surrounding women ex-offenders; produce a newsletter and write up case studies of our success stories

Lend a hand: offer your time in co-ordinating ongoing projects, answering phones, updating our database, cold-calling and fundraising

If you have some time spare to volunteer for us, please click here.
